After you have smoked the pipe, it must also be cleaned. Regular cleaning is a must-have routine for good pipe maintenance.

Immediately after smoking you should allow it to cool completely, then you can disassemble it. First shake off the ash, then disassemble it (if it is a filter pipe). Then, with a pipe cleaner, clean thoroughly: especially the mouthpiece and the pipe head in particular (pipe chamber).

Use as many pipe cleaners as necessary and do not spare them. Once you pull the pipe cleaner out of the pipe and is clean then you know that the pipe is ok.
